Penajam Paser Utara (ANTARA) - The Nusantara Capital (IKN) Authority announced the auction of the second phase of the IKN development in North Penajam Paser and Kutai Kartanegara districts, East Kalimantan Province, scheduled for the end of June 2025.

"We will start the second phase of the IKN development. The work auction will be announced at the end of the month," IKN Authority Head Basuki Hadimuljono stated when asked about the continuation of the IKN development in Sepaku, North Penajam Paser, Saturday.

"The work will definitely be a lot, so we have to work as a team, collaborate and synergize," he stressed.

The second phase of IKN development must be carried out with renewed spirit and improved discipline, he stated, stressing that there should be no exaggeration, falsification or progress, bribery, or other unethical practices.

All parties involved in the IKN development are urged to uphold transparent and accountable governance in developing Indonesia's new capital city.

Before the second phase is implemented, the IKN Authority and all stakeholders will agree on the work methodology, traffic management project, and cross-party technical coordination before construction activities begin.

"All of this is important to mitigate potential problems in the field and ensure the smooth running of the development process," he explained.

Collaboration among parties is crucial for the success of the second phase, and high standards must be maintained in development, especially in terms of quality, environmental sustainability, and aesthetics.

He also stressed the importance of maintaining riparian areas (river boundaries), considering flood risks, and maintaining discipline in managing working hours, as the project starts in the rainy season and only has an implementation period of around six months, ending December 2025.

Traffic management is a major concern, and it is recommended that the distribution of materials in the core area of the IKN government center (KIPP) be orderly and not damage existing infrastructure.

Operational discipline at ready-mix concrete production sites is essential, including truck cleanliness and compliance with regulations on heavy vehicles with Over Dimension and Over Loading (ODOL) on national roads, Hadimuljono stated.
