“This is to ensure that regional heads understand the big visions of the President, so they can implement and accelerate the Asta Cita program,” he said here on Sunday.
He explained that regional heads participating in the retreat will receive material focusing on three core areas, which are the fundamental duties of a regional head, the Asta Cita mission, and issues of anti-corruption and national insight, which will be delivered by the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas).
“So the content is 100 percent the same as the first wave of the retreat,” he noted.
He stressed the importance of synergy and collaboration between regional heads and their deputies in managing local governance.
For this reason, he added, the retreat serves as a key opportunity to strengthen communication and cohesion between them.
“This retreat batch is slightly different from the first because all participants are present with their deputies. We hope the days spent here will build stronger teamwork between regional heads and their deputies,” he said.
On the occasion, the deputy minister also delivered a message to the IPDN young cadets who were involved in the event.
He encouraged them to welcome the regional leaders with enthusiasm and pride throughout the retreat.
“Dear young cadets, please welcome these Indonesian leaders with pride, they come from Sabang to Papua. One day, you will not only support the leaders standing before you now, but you will also become part of the efforts to serve the people,” he said.
