Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) has recorded a significant surge in initial public offering (IPO) listings this year, with Rp7.01 trillion (approximately US$427 million) raised by 14 new companies so far.

Among the new entrants, three stand out as “lighthouse companies,” or firms with a market capitalization of at least Rp3 trillion (approximately US$183 million) and a free float market capitalization exceeding Rp700 billion (approximately US$43 million).

“(The IDX’s) growth momentum continues in 2025, with 14 new stock listings until the end of May 2025. Of these new listings, three are ‘lighthouse IPOs,’” president director of IDX, Iman Rachman, said here on Wednesday.

Overall, the number of listed companies on the Indonesian capital market has reached 956. The IDX ranks second in ASEAN in terms of the total number of listed companies.

“In addition, it (the IDX) is the exchange with the second-highest growth globally, increasing by 1.38 percent year on year (yoy),” he informed.

Furthermore, the director of company assessment at IDX, I Gede Nyoman Yetna, revealed that another 14 companies are currently in the IPO pipeline.

Eight of those companies are categorized as large-scale asset companies, with assets exceeding Rp250 billion (approximately US$15 million).

Five companies are medium-scale companies, with assets ranging from Rp50 billion to Rp250 billion (approximately US$3 million to US$15 million).

Meanwhile, one company is a small-scale company, with assets below Rp50 billion (approximately US$3 million).

Furthermore, the companies participating in the upcoming IPO span a diverse range of industries. They include three companies from the financial sector, three companies from the transportation and logistics sector, and two from the raw materials sector.

In addition, there are two companies from the primary consumer goods sector, two from the health care sector, one from the non-primary consumer goods sector, and one company from the energy sector.
