Jakarta (ANTARA) - Bali Safari and Marine Park in Gianyar, Bali, is ready to welcome an expected surge in visitors during the holiday season, according to Indonesia's Ministry of Tourism.

Deputy Minister of Tourism Ni Luh Puspa said on Sunday that the park is prioritizing three key aspects for visitors: safety, comfort, and experience.

To support this, the park has implemented several measures, including prohibiting the use of private vehicles within the grounds and installing clear directional signage to help guests explore the site safely.

To further enhance the holiday experience, Puspa added that the government has issued a circular urging regional governments to implement Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environmental Sustainability (CHSE) standards, along with risk-based tourism business practices.

She also highlighted the "#DiIndonesiaAja" (Just in Indonesia) campaign, which promotes domestic tourism destinations and local events.

As part of its efforts to stimulate domestic travel during the June–July holiday period, the government has introduced several incentives. These include a 30 percent discount on train tickets for up to 2.8 million passengers, a six percent discount on economy-class airfares, a 50 percent discount on ferry tickets, and a 20 percent discount on toll fees.

“We hope these initiatives will boost domestic tourism during the school holidays,” Puspa said. “From January to April 2025 alone, we recorded 400 million domestic trips. This shows a strong upward trend.”

She expressed optimism that Indonesia will reach its target of 1.08 billion domestic tourist trips by the end of the year.
