Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has informed that 12 Indonesian citizens (WNIs) and the Iranian companion of one citizen have arrived back safely in Indonesia from Iran.

“On June 30, 2025, 12 Indonesian evacuees and 1 companion from Iran arrived on the Baku-Doha-Jakarta route,” director of protection of Indonesian citizens at the ministry, Judha Nugraha, said in a written statement released here on Tuesday.

Their arrival marked the last repatriation of Indonesians from Iran under the first round of evacuations, he informed.

The Indonesian government has so far evacuated 97 persons, consisting of 96 Indonesian citizens and one Iranian citizen, all of whom have arrived safely in Indonesia.

The ministry is currently coordinating with the Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) in Tehran and Indonesian Representatives to prepare for the second round of evacuations, which are scheduled to be carried out in the first week of July 2025, Nugraha said.
