Jayapura, Papua (ANTARA) - Search and rescue workers on Friday afternoon recovered the body of the third landslide victim in Wembi Village, Mannem Subdistrict, Keerom District, Papua, near the Indonesia–Papua New Guinea border.

The deceased, identified as Demianus Warombri, 30, was found buried under landslide debris at about 3:15 p.m. local time, according to Keerom Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Astoto Budi Rahmantyo.

Warombri was the third victim recovered, while the two other bodies found earlier were identified as Yusman Narang, 30, and Markus Bogor, 41, he said.

The deadly landslide struck the village area at around 4:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, July 1, he added, noting that the search mission concluded on Friday after all three bodies were found.
