The collaboration was inked as part of a series of events, including the 2025 National Seminar on Indonesia’s Industrialization Outlook 2045, the Extraordinary Congress, and the national leadership meeting (RAPIMNAS) of PII.
In a statement delivered in Jakarta on Monday, secretary general of the Ministry of Manpower, Cris Kuntadi, said that the partnership is a strategic step toward building a high-quality, inclusive, and future-oriented engineering ecosystem.
“This marks a key milestone in uniting the expertise and resources of Kemnaker and PII to strengthen the labor sector while boosting the global competitiveness of Indonesian engineers in the modern industrial era,” he added.
The cooperation covers data interoperability and labor exchange in engineering, competency enhancement in technical fields, and employment facilitation for vulnerable groups, such as persons with disabilities, youth, and women in the engineering sector.
Kuntadi also stressed the importance of expediting follow-up actions through technical cooperation agreements between the relevant units of the ministry and PII to ensure tangible outcomes.
“We hope this collaboration will soon translate into concrete actions that open up more job opportunities and expand access to training and certification for Indonesian engineers,” he said.
