Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has invited the community to actively oversee school orientation to ensure no violations occur during the process.

Head of the ministry's Character Strengthening Center, Rusprita Putri Utami, stated in Jakarta on Tuesday that her ministry had prepared sanctions in accordance with applicable regulations and laws for any violations found during student orientation activities.

"The community can report violations during the implementation of the Friendly School Orientation through the ministry's integrated service unit, the 177 call center, or kemendikdasmen.lapor.go.id," she remarked in an online broadcast on the 2025 Friendly School Orientation.

Utami elaborated that the reporting process is tiered, starting with the school reporting to the local education office, which is then expected to report to the ministry through the Center for Education Quality Assurance in each province.

She further noted that the report may contain a description of the activity, results of the independent evaluation that was conducted, various obstacles and challenges encountered, and recommendations for improving the school orientation process.

Utami emphasized that these reports are essential for providing information on the implementation of school orientation, serving as a basis for identifying best practices, and for addressing any obstacles encountered during implementation.

To support synergy between supervision and public participation, she also invited parents of students to be actively involved in preparing their children for the series of Friendly School Orientation activities, which will mark the start of the 2025-2026 academic year this July.

"Parents are also encouraged to actively assist children's adaptation process, including dropping their children off at school during the first day or throughout the Friendly School Orientation period," she remarked.
