“Remember, everyone is equal before the law. Therefore, law enforcement must be fair and non-discriminatory,” he said during a working visit to the West Kalimantan High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati Kalbar) in Pontianak, according to a statement received in Jakarta on Tuesday.
He noted that the challenges facing the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) are growing more complex, requiring more effective, efficient, and accountable performance.
Burhanuddin emphasized that public trust in the AGO has risen significantly, as reflected in the latest survey by the Indonesian Survey Circle (LSI) Denny JA, which ranked the AGO as the most trusted law enforcement institution in the country.

However, the attorney general acknowledged that such recognition often invites criticism and backlash. “Just like a tree—the taller it grows, the stronger the wind it must withstand,” he remarked.
Burhanuddin urged all prosecutors to stay focused and professional in the face of mounting challenges and public scrutiny.
“In response to various attacks against the AGO’s achievements, I urge everyone to remain steadfast and professional. We must address criticism with data and facts, and maintain internal unity,” he stressed.
