“A total of IDR26 trillion in transactions has been used, supporting exports to more than 90 countries globally,” said Maqin U. Norhadi, Acting Managing Director of Business Development at Indonesia Eximbank, during a media briefing in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara, on Thursday.
The realization of the PKE program has generated US$4.18 million in foreign exchange, derived from the export of 29 different commodities and products, including aircraft, trains, vaccines, medical equipment, furniture, processed food, and chemical products.
The program also plays a significant role in supporting Indonesia’s Strategic National Industries, such as the export of the CN 235 Medium Aircraft Wing to Nepal, the CN 235-220 Maritime Patrol Aircraft to Senegal, and the NC212i aircraft to the Philippines.
Additionally, railcars such as the Container Flat Top Wagon were shipped to New Zealand, passenger coaches to Bangladesh, and landing platform deck vessels to the United Arab Emirates.
In the medical equipment sector, exports include syringes and blood bags sent for the United States, Egypt, and Tanzania, as well as vaccines for polio, diphtheria, and tuberculosis shipped to Malaysia, India, Nigeria, and Pakistan.
For the tourism sector, part of the PKE funds have been allocated toward developing the Super Priority Tourism Destinations in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara — utilizing a blended financing scheme in collaboration with commercial banks with funding over IDR1 trillion (about US$61.6 million)
Furthermore, the state budget (APBN) supports the implementation of the PKE through state capital injections (PMN) totaling IDR13.7 trillion (about US$843 million)
These funds are allocated to special export assignments targeting Africa, South Asia, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and Latin America, as well as SME exports and the transportation equipment industries.
