"The agenda in Brussels is an economic meeting, followed by a visit to France," State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said during a press conference at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Friday.
Hadi noted that the president’s attendance at Bastille Day on July 14 in Paris was at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron during his official visit to Jakarta in May.
During that visit, President Macron also invited Indonesia to send a contingent to participate in the Bastille Day Parade.
Hadi said the participation of the Indonesian contingent and President Prabowo’s presence at Bastille Day was an honor for the country.

The Indonesian contingent, comprising members of the Indonesian Defense Forces (TNI) and the National Police (Polri), will appear for the first time as a parade troop at Bastille Day.
"This is quite an honor for Indonesia. It is also a reciprocal visit from Indonesia for President Macron's recent visit," Hadi remarked.
Several ministers from the Red and White Cabinet are accompanying the president on his trip to France, including Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, Minister of Investment and Downstream Development Rosan Roeslani, and Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia.
Hadi said other ministers may also join the state visit, given the potential for cooperation with the French government in tourism, culture, and transportation.
President Prabowo wrapped up his state visit to Brazil with a bilateral meeting with Brazilian President Lula da Silva at the Planalto Palace in Brasilia on Wednesday (July 9).
After a state luncheon at the Planalto Palace, President Prabowo and his entourage departed Brazil for Brussels on the same day.
