“No need to worry, my children. Whatever potential you have, insha Allah, it will be consistently developed,” the minister, also known as Cak Imin, said during school orientation at the People’s Middle School 10 in Bogor, West Java, on Monday.
For example, Sekolah Rakyat will give scientifically inclined children the space to experiment all they want to help them hone their skills, he expounded.
Students who are keen to become entrepreneurs will be taught relevant skills, such as building an entrepreneurial mindset and business knowledge, he said.
Students who wish to take up a sport such as football will be provided access to facilities such as football fields and nutritious food from the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), he added.

“God willing, (the student) will become a great national footballer in the future,” he remarked.
He then urged all stakeholders, including parents, teachers, and educators, to support the boarding school initiative.
“For teachers, let us go hand in hand, foster our and our children’s potential, so they can truly grow up as they dream of,” he said.
Sekolah Rakyat is an initiative launched by President Prabowo Subianto to provide children from underprivileged families access to high-quality education.
The free boarding school program, which covers elementary to secondary education, is a strategic measure to end the cycle of poverty through educational interventions.
