Siti Bibah Indrajati, Head of the Floriculture Division at the Ministry of Agriculture, described FLOII as a concrete example of how the horticulture industry can grow from the grassroots level by involving communities and touching multiple aspects of daily life.
"We hope this event will help position Indonesia as a global hub for tropical floriculture development," she said in a statement issued on Wednesday.
Scheduled for October 23–26 at ICE BSD in Tangerang, Banten, the FLOII Expo 2025 — organized by Dyandra Event Solutions — will be the largest edition since its launch in 2022.
The event aims to bring together businesses, communities, and the general public to exchange ideas, foster collaboration, and strengthen Indonesia’s horticulture and botanical innovation ecosystem.
"FLOII Expo is open to everyone — not just collectors and plant enthusiasts, but also the general public who want to reconnect with nature," said Ratih F. Kurnia, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Dyandra.
With the theme "The Botanical Futures," the expo highlights the essential role of plants in sustaining life.
Through the #DimulaiDariSatu (#StartWithOne) campaign, the event encourages individuals to start with one plant as a step toward a greener, healthier, and more environmentally conscious lifestyle.
Chandra G. Hendarto, a member of the FLOII 2025 Steering Committee, said the event will feature a range of programs, including plant exhibitions, new variety launches, contests, workshops, talk shows, and plant-themed art displays.
As part of its green movement, a lead-up event titled "Variegata & Us" will take place in Jakarta on August 29–31.
This pre-event embraces an urban and inclusive spirit, promoting plant appreciation as a lifestyle embraced by broader urban communities.
