Palangka Raya (ANTARA) - The Palangka Raya City Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in Central Kalimantan Province is adopting artificial intelligence (AI)-based technology to help detect patients' health conditions.

"We are currently introducing the latest innovation, which will soon be implemented: an AI-based device called Airdoc," Director of the Palangka Raya City Hospital, Abram Sidi Winasis, stated in Palangka Raya on Wednesday.

He explained that this AI technology will enable the hospital team to detect various diseases simply by analyzing a patient’s eyes.

"We plan to start using this device around October," he added.

Winasis emphasized that by promoting innovation, the Palangka Raya City Hospital aims to deliver more modern, faster, and accurate services to a broader segment of the community.

He also noted that in addition to introducing new technology, the RSUD offered visitors the opportunity to try out the equipment directly, demonstrating its commitment to service and transparency with the public.

The booth at the Palangka Raya Fair 2025, held from July 16 to 19, 2025, was open to all visitors.

"We remain committed to providing better, more comprehensive healthcare services that directly address the needs of the community," Winasis said.
