"President Prabowo highlighted the importance of brotherhood and constructive communication, including by encouraging peace talks between Thailand and Cambodia," Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said in a Presidential Secretariat statement on Saturday.
He added that the president also highlighted the need to improve conditions in Myanmar to maintain stability and harmony in Southeast Asia.
On the same occasion, President Prabowo reminded ASEAN leaders to prioritize dialogue and diplomacy to maintain regional stability, peace, and economic growth amid global geopolitical tensions.
"In a warm atmosphere and strong spirit of togetherness, President Prabowo and ASEAN leaders discussed global challenges directly affecting the region and reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining stability, peace, and economic growth," Teddy said.

According to him, Prabowo's participation in the 48th ASEAN Summit reflected Indonesia's commitment to strengthening ASEAN unity and solidarity.
Indonesia also encouraged ASEAN to remain an "anchor" of peace, stability, and growth amid growing global tensions.
"Indonesia's participation in the 48th ASEAN Summit reaffirmed its commitment to being part of the solution and strengthening regional unity," Teddy said.
The president attended all events during the summit, including the plenary session, retreat session, and gala dinner.
During the gala dinner, Prabowo wore the Philippine national costume, the "Barong Tagalog," as a gesture of respect for the host country.
After concluding his ASEAN Summit agenda in Cebu, the president is scheduled to return to Indonesia to continue working visits to North Sulawesi and Gorontalo.
