“Later, these MSMEs will join with KMP to strengthen the regional and national economy,” deputy for micro enterprises at the ministry, Riza Damanik, informed in Pangkalpinang on Wednesday.
He said that President Prabowo Subianto will soon launch 80 thousand Red and White Village/Sub-District Cooperatives across Indonesia in Bentangan village, Wonosari, Klaten, Central Java, on Monday.
“We have formulated strategies and solutions to make MSMEs and cooperatives the backbone of the national economy,” he said.
According to Damanik, the strategy and solutions include ensuring access to affordable and inclusive financing through the People’s Business Credit (KUR) program, which is targeting to provide Rp300 trillion to 2.34 million debtors this year.
Later, the ministry will push the digital transformation of MSMEs through collaboration with national marketplaces and provision of digital marketing training at the Integrated Business Service Center.
It will also strengthen human resources and productivity through business incubation programs, competency-based training on product standardization, as well as assistance with halal certification and distribution permits.
The last strategy is increasing access to domestic and export markets to raise the added value of MSME and cooperative products.
“We, together with cross-sector partners, continue to encourage the formation of clusters of MSME and cooperative entrepreneurs in the regions, including the Bangka Belitung Islands,” he said.
