The president departed from Jakarta's Halim Perdanakusuma Airfield and arrived at Adi Soemarmo Airfield around 5:30 p.m. local time.
The president's entourage comprises State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Foreign Minister Sugiono, Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Angga Raka Prabowo, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, who took the same presidential flight as Prabowo's.
Before departing for Surakarta, the president convened a closed-door meeting on the government's priority agenda with selected cabinet ministers at the Jakarta airfield.
Upon arriving at Adi Soemarmo Airfield, the president immediately departed for Jokowi's residence, and arrived at 6:10 p.m. Widodo's son and vice president, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, accompanied Prabowo's visit to his father's residence.
The former president welcomed Prabowo's visit at his front gate, and they entered the residence with their agenda.
After meeting the former president, Prabowo is scheduled to deliver his remarks on the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Congress at the Muhammadiyah University in Surakarta at 7 p.m.
The party congress takes place in Surakarta, Central Java, on July 19-20, 2025. The congress approved Kaesang Pangarep, Widodo's youngest son, to take the helm as party chairman for the 2025-2030 term.
Pangarep won the party's online voting, which PSI boasted of taking place on a one-man-one-vote basis, after garnering 65.28 per cent of the votes, beating two of his competitors.
The party also rebranded itself as "Partai Super Tbk" (Super-open Party) and launched a new logo featuring a red-and-black elephant, ditching the fist and rose logo that the party had been identified with since its founding in 2014.
