The collaboration is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Indonesia’s economic diplomacy by expanding access to capital, technology, and international partnerships that support the nation’s economic transformation.
"This initiative aligns with the broader national agenda of Golden Indonesia 2045, which focuses on sustainable and inclusive growth," said Danantara Indonesia Chief Investment Officer Pandu Sjahrir in a statement issued on Tuesday.
He said Danantara, as a modern state asset management agency, aims to connect Indonesia’s domestic potential with global opportunities through cross-sector and cross-border cooperation.
"Economic diplomacy is a strategic tool to respond proactively to global dynamics. Danantara serves as a policy partner, linking Indonesia's economic strengths with long-term, measurable international investments," he explained.
Pandu noted that Danantara was established to manage and consolidate state strategic assets efficiently, with a focus on high-impact sectors such as renewable energy, infrastructure, food security, healthcare, the digital economy, and financial services.
"We don't just manage assets — we reinvest them to create inclusive growth, generate employment, and enhance Indonesia's global competitiveness," he said.
He emphasized that synergy between diplomacy and investment is essential to unlock access to global funding, technology transfers, strategic co-investments, and international markets.
With total potential assets exceeding US$900 billion, Danantara aims to become one of the world's leading sovereign investment platforms, committed to integrating financial, social, and environmental goals under globally recognized sustainability principles.
"Our ambassadors and Indonesian representatives abroad serve as the 'eyes and ears' of Danantara in expanding partnerships and gaining access to knowledge, expertise, and innovation," Pandu added.
Speaking at the same event, Deputy Foreign Minister Arrmanatha C. Nasir highlighted the importance of aligning diplomatic and investment strategies. He also stressed the need to establish a regular coordination mechanism between the two institutions.
"Danantara Indonesia’s mission strongly supports the Foreign Ministry's mandate to lead Indonesia's economic diplomacy. Close synergy and sustained diplomatic support are essential," Arrmanatha said.
