Jakarta (ANTARA) - Strong synergy among all stakeholders is essential to realize the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision, according to Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions (PDT), Yandri Susanto.

“If we work hand in hand with strong commitment, I am confident that we will succeed in ushering in the golden era of Indonesia in 2045 or even sooner,” he said during the signing of cross-institutional memoranda of understanding (MoU) on Wednesday.

Speaking at his ministry’s headquarters in Jakarta, he highlighted that the newly inked cooperation agreements are a manifestation of the government’s commitment to developing Indonesia from the village level to achieve an equitable economy and eliminate poverty.

The goal aligns with one of the primary missions of President Prabowo Subianto, collectively known as the Asta Cita.

The minister emphasized that villages across Indonesia hold enormous strengths and potential in various areas, and to fully tap into them, the PDT Ministry requires support from other state institutions, the private sector, higher education institutions, and the youth.

He then underlined that the ministry fully acknowledges the need for such collaboration, as evidenced by the signing of over 40 partnership deals.

“We have signed 48 MoUs, 28 of which involve other ministries,” Susanto pointed out.

He informed that his ministry has signed cooperation agreements with Statistics Indonesia (BPS), the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK), state postal company PT Pos Indonesia, and Muhammadiyah’s youth wing, among others.

The PDT Ministry, he said, is set to collaborate with the BPS to ensure accurate data on the potential of Indonesian rural areas. This is crucial for devising effective programs and policies with efficient budget planning, he explained.

“The end goal of these partnerships lies in welfare, poverty elimination, and economic growth starting from villages,” he added.
