"I truly believe that Indonesia has a bright, good future. Like we have said earlier, the key to realizing that dream is living in harmony and cooperating," he remarked during an event commemorating the 27th anniversary of the National Awakening Party (PKB) in Jakarta on Wednesday night (July 23).
He emphasized that unity and cooperation are among the core values upheld by PKB and Nahdlatul Ulama, adding that God supports those who act for the common good with goodwill, a pure heart, and noble intentions.
The president also highlighted that available data and statistics indicate Indonesia has huge potential to thrive in the future.
In this regard, he stated that political parties have a crucial role in overseeing the government, ensuring that the country stays on track toward progress.
While acknowledging the value of input from the representatives of the people, Prabowo affirmed that such feedback must be delivered through legal channels by legitimate, publicly elected figures.
He further stated that PKB, Nahdlatul Ulama, farmers, and laborers have inspired and motivated him to keep fighting for the state and the people.
Alluding to the protection of the people, the president highlighted recently uncovered foul business practices, particularly the adulteration of cooking oil and rice, which have caused significant losses to the state.
He noted that 212 rice producers have faced scrutiny for failing to comply with government standards for quality, weight, and price.
Despite these harmful practices, he assured the public that Indonesia remains strong as a nation blessed with abundant natural resources.
"We all share the responsibility to secure, manage, and utilize our natural wealth to boost the welfare of the people," he concluded.
