Jakarta (ANTARA) - Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya has announced that President Prabowo Subianto is preparing 82 young professionals to fill key strategic positions as part of a broader initiative to build a generation of excellent and adaptive human resources.

In a written statement released on Sunday, Teddy emphasized that the program is part of the government’s long-term strategy to develop future leaders.

“Through this program, we hope to see the emergence of a new generation of leaders in business and economics—talented young Indonesians with experience both at home and abroad,” he said.

President Prabowo held a special meeting with the 82 selected young professionals at his private residence in Hambalang, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Saturday (July 26).

According to Teddy, the participants are graduates of leading universities in Indonesia and overseas, and they were selected to take part in the Presidential Fellowship in Economics and Business Leadership —a program personally initiated by President Prabowo.

The fellows underwent a rigorous selection process to ensure the highest standards of quality, integrity, and leadership potential.

“The recruitment and selection process was strictly conducted by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology,” Teddy noted.

During the five-hour meeting, President Prabowo engaged in in-depth discussions with the fellows, listened to their ideas and analyses, participated in a Q&A session, and exchanged views on the latest developments in science, technology, global business, and the economy.

Photos released by the Cabinet Secretariat showed the president delivering remarks to the fellowship participants, who also had the opportunity to present their ideas for Indonesia’s development directly to him.

President Prabowo was seen attentively observing the presentations and taking notes on key points delivered by the fellows during the Presidential Fellowship in Economics and Business Leadership session.

Some of the presentation topics delivered to the president included: “National Health Sovereignty: Mastering Pharmaceutical and Medical Technology,” “Towards Self-Reliance in Advanced Materials and Semiconductors,” and “Toward Zero Fuel Imports for National Energy Sovereignty.”
