“Everything will be ready with Palestine’s approval. We are ready (to implement it) upon requests from countries in the region and in accordance with Arab League resolutions,” Nasir said following a press briefing here on Friday.
He explained that Indonesia is seeking approval from Palestine or other Middle Eastern countries before taking further steps, including setting the timeline or duration of the evacuation.
The deputy minister stressed that Indonesia’s initiative is not intended to pressure Palestinians to leave Gaza, as advocated by Zionist and pro-Zionist interests.
He emphasized that Indonesia’s readiness to receive and treat Palestinian war victims should be viewed as a reflection of President Prabowo Subianto’s commitment to helping those affected by Israeli aggression in Gaza.
“It is clear that we do not support any attempt to displace Palestinians (from Gaza),” Nasir affirmed.

Presidential Communication Office (PCO) Chief Hasan Nasbi previously stated that President Prabowo had instructed the government to prepare for receiving up to 2,000 Palestinian refugees for medical treatment in Indonesia.
“The president also directed that Indonesia provide medical aid to around 2,000 war victims in Gaza, including those injured by bombs or debris,” Nasbi noted on Thursday.
Confirming the president’s directive, Foreign Minister Sugiono said the government is also exploring alternative locations beyond Galang Island to host the Palestinians receiving treatment.
“The president mentioned Galang Island, which had served as a COVID-19 treatment center and already has suitable infrastructure. However, we are considering other options,” Sugiono said.
