Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Equestrian Sports Association (Pordasi) has chosen West Java, East Java, and Yogyakarta as the host provinces for the 2025 national championships across three equestrian disciplines.

The decision was made through an open vote during a hybrid meeting held on Friday.

West Java will host the Equestrian National Championship from September 22-28, featuring the disciplines of dressage, show jumping, and eventing.

The eventing category will follow a one-day format, consistent with the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand.

"We will work hard to prepare for this national championship as best as possible despite the short time," said Secretary General of the West Java Pordasi board, Jejen Rusyana Diyan.

"This championship can also serve as a preparation, particularly for Indonesian athletes participating in the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand."

East Java has been appointed to organize the 2025 Horseback Archery (HBA) National Championship, scheduled for December 14 at Mount Bromo.

Chair of East Java Pordasi, H. Sentot Djamaluddin, believes that holding the event in Bromo will support the region's sport tourism program and promote local small businesses.

Yogyakarta will once again host the National Horse Racing Championship Series II from October 12-19 at the Sultan Agung Horse Racing Track in Bantul.

In addition to determining the championship hosts, the meeting also confirmed that the next national working meeting is scheduled to be held in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, on January 24-25, 2026.
