Tangerang district, Banten (ANTARA) - Soekarno-Hatta (Soetta) Airport Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Ronald Sipayung, ensured that the international airport area in Tangerang, Banten, remains safe and conducive.

"We ask the public not to worry about activities at Soetta International Airport," he said in Tangerang on Monday.

He said that although there had been protest riots recently in Jakarta and several regions, it had not impacted security and order in the airport area.

Therefore, he emphasized that the state, through the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the National Police (Polri), is present to protect the Indonesian people.

"Let's work together to make Soekarno-Hatta Airport a shared home that is safe, comfortable, orderly, and peaceful," he said.

To maintain a conducive situation, Polri and TNI personnel have carried out joint patrols by combing several flight terminals, the north-south perimeter area, to the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) area at Gate M1 of the airport.

"We have deployed 20 TNI and police personnel during these joint patrols. We found no potential disturbances to public order and security," he said.
