Based on ANTARA's observation, ministers began arriving at the palace complex around 2 p.m. local time to participate in a limited meeting chaired by President Prabowo.
Hartarto explained that the president summoned him to discuss matters related to the economy. "Well, considering my position, I usually touch upon the economy," he told reporters.
The minister then said that Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan and newly inaugurated Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa would also join the limited meeting.
Also seen at the Presidential Palace were Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Minister Nusron Wahid, and Marine Affairs and Fisheries Minister Sakti Wahyu Trenggono.
Meanwhile, Forestry Minister Antoni pointed out that he intends to provide President Prabowo with data regarding forests and their role in securing food, energy, and water for the public.
He also spoke of his plans to brief the head of state on updates regarding the Peusangan Conservation Initiative (PECI) in Aceh and forest restoration at Way Kambas National Park in Lampung.
"Mr. President will likely inquire about progress in the Peusangan Elephant Conservation Initiative on land donated by the president in Aceh," he pointed out.
In collaboration with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the United Kingdom, the Indonesian government endorses and implements PECI as a means to mobilize funds for efforts aimed at protecting the habitat of Sumatran elephants and mitigating conflicts with humans.
President Prabowo has offered the WWF to turn about 80 thousand hectares of land he managed in Aceh into an elephant sanctuary under the initiative.
