Earlier, Zetro's body was flown from Peru to Indonesia, arriving at the Cargo Terminal of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten, on Tuesday (September 9). It was then transported by ambulance to the Gatot Subroto Army Central Hospital in Central Jakarta.
The embassy staffer’s body was repatriated after undergoing an autopsy conducted by the Peruvian police.
Zetro was pronounced dead after being shot three times by an unknown assailant near his residence in the Lince area of Lima on September 1, according to local media outlet Panamericana Television.
His assignment in Peru had only begun five months earlier following his previous service at the Indonesian Consulate General in Melbourne, Australia.
Police and forensic teams have conducted a crime scene investigation, while the Indonesian Embassy in Lima has coordinated with the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the case.
