Jakarta (ANTARA) - Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi has called on all transportation workers to strengthen innovation and improve public services in commemoration of National Transportation Day (Harhubnas) 2025.

“We must work more effectively, maintain accountability, and continue improving ourselves and our services to the public,” he said after leading the Harhubnas ceremony at the Transportation Ministry office held here on Wednesday.

National Transportation Day, observed every September 17, serves as a moment for reflection and appreciation for transportation workers who have ensured and contributed to the continuity of connectivity nationwide, he noted.

Purwagandhi urged all stakeholders to respond to public expectations by enhancing service quality and strengthening innovation.

With the theme “Transportation Service for the Nation,” Harhubnas 2025 also served as a reminder that every transport infrastructure and service is a form of dedication to the nation and the Indonesian people.

“It is a reminder that our transportation service is for the people, the nation, and to build a more advanced Indonesia,” he emphasized.

With a better connected and integrated transportation system, he believes that it would support food distribution, energy availability, economic growth, education access, and employment, just like President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita or eight main mission vision.

In line with this vision, he also urged the transportation workers to prepare for the 2025 Economic Stimulus Package, which includes eight acceleration programs, four follow-up programs, and five worker absorption programs.

One of the initiatives in the stimulus is the cash-for-work program in the form of daily-wage schemes led by the Transportation and Public Works ministries.

“We need to prepare and carry this out as best as we can, as a concrete effort by the transportation sector to take part in accelerating economic growth,” he said.
