New York, Amerika Serikat (ANTARA) - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto received positive responses from world leaders after delivering his address at the General Debate of the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, United States, on Tuesday.

Following his speech before heads of state, government leaders, and delegations from nearly all member countries, Prabowo was approached by several world leaders.

Jordan's King Abdullah II and Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva were seen shaking his hand and congratulating him, while also expressing appreciation for the strong messages he conveyed.

In his remarks, Prabowo addressed several pressing global challenges. He highlighted Indonesia’s success in achieving rice self-sufficiency and called on the world to unite in pursuit of peace.

"We must act now. Many speakers have said that. We must stand for multilateral order where peace, prosperity, and progress are not the privilege of a few but the right of all," he said.

Prabowo also underscored the importance of strengthening the role of the United Nations.

"With a strong United Nations, we can build a world where the weak do not suffer what they must, but live the justice they deserve," he noted.

Reaffirming Indonesia's long-standing position, Prabowo stressed support for a two-state solution to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

"We must have an independent Palestine, but we must also recognize and guarantee the safety and security of Israel. Only then can we have real peace: peace without hate, peace without suspicion. The only solution is this two-state solution," he emphasized.

Prabowo was the third speaker in the UNGA's General Debate session, following Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and U.S. President Donald Trump.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said Prabowo's participation at the 80th UNGA marked an important moment for Indonesia to reaffirm its active role in the world’s highest multilateral forum.
