He said the figure came from furniture orders, distribution contracts for decorative accessories, and expansion plans into Europe's exclusive souvenir shop and museum segments.
"This enthusiasm reflects the European market’s strong interest in Indonesian design and furniture products while strengthening our position as a key player in the eco-friendly design industry," he said in a statement issued on Saturday.
Putranto noted that the achievement demonstrates international recognition of the quality of Indonesian design and craftsmanship.
The event, held in Paris on September 4–8, also offered opportunities to expand business networks for premium Indonesian products, he added.
Three Indonesian exhibitors showcased distinctive works, including high-end reproduction souvenirs, decorative accessories, fossilized wood coffee tables, bronze-plated washbasins, and modern furniture with local design elements.
Putranto reaffirmed the government’s commitment to promoting local products and supporting creative entrepreneurs to compete globally.
"We will continue promoting our products through trade exploration, contract development, and international publications to strengthen Indonesia’s position as a world-class supplier of interior and decorative goods," he said.
From January to July, Indonesia’s furniture exports to France reached US$61.14 million, a 1.16 percent increase from the same period in 2024, continuing an upward trend since 2023.
This growth reflects the rising recognition of Indonesian furniture in the French market and its expanding potential across Europe, Putranto added.
