The commitments were formalized through 13 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and three declarations covering clean energy, marine, carbon, forestry, and green infrastructure sectors, signed during the two-day event held on October 10–11, 2025, according to the ministry’s statement on Sunday.
The ministry’s Deputy for Investment Promotion, Nurul Ichwan, stated that the agreements signed at the 2025 ISF reflect strong commitments from the business community to advance sustainable development.
He noted that the MoUs—described as tangible outcomes of the conference—represent significant green investment pledges, even though their implementation is not scheduled to begin this year.
Meanwhile, Deputy for Basic Infrastructure Coordination at the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development Rachmat Kaimuddin emphasized that the MoUs underscore Indonesia’s active leadership in the global transition to a low-carbon economy.
“We expect the signing of the 13 MoUs during the 2025 ISF to directly support efforts toward a clean energy transition and a low-carbon economy in Indonesia,” Kaimuddin said.
“This collaboration shows that Indonesia is no longer idling on the sidelines; we are now taking the lead,” he added.
Coordinating Deputy Chair of Indonesia’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Shinta Kamdani also reaffirmed the private sector’s commitment to driving the green transition.
“Green investment not only strengthens economic development but also creates greater opportunities for MSMEs, generates new jobs, and fosters industrial transformation toward a more resilient and sustainable future,” Kamdani remarked.
According to the ministry’s statement, the three declarations made at the 2025 ISF included the launch of the Indonesia Transition Factbook by Kadin and BloombergNEF, a carbon capture roadmap for Block Arun by EMP and PEMA, and the inauguration of ASPELUSI, an association of EV charging station owners.
