Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture is preparing to launch the CERIA Holistic Integrative Early Childhood Development Monitoring and Evaluation Information System (Sismonev CERIA PAUD HI) to strengthen early childhood development across the country.

“With this Sismonev system, we hope to ensure greater precision in policy-making,” said Woro Srihastuti Sulistyaningrum, Deputy for Coordination of Family and Population Quality Improvement at the ministry, during a pre-launch event here on Monday.

She explained that the system, which will be officially launched next week, is designed to ensure early childhood development programs are effectively targeted and implemented.

Sulistyaningrum stressed that the initiative is vital, as efforts to develop human resources must begin from early childhood.

“Interventions will not be as effective if they only start once children reach junior or senior high school,” she said.

She highlighted that the first five years of life are critical, as rapid brain development during this period lays the foundation for future growth.

Citing data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) based on the 2024 National Socioeconomic Survey, she said around 10.82 percent of Indonesia’s population, roughly one in ten people, falls within the 0–6 age group.

As Chair of the Holistic Integrative Early Childhood Development (PAUD HI) Task Force, Sulistyaningrum said the ministry has developed an integrated system to monitor progress across programs implemented by various ministries and institutions supporting early childhood development.

The Sismonev CERIA PAUD HI system tracks performance in five key service areas: education, health and nutrition, parenting, protection, and social welfare. It also employs artificial intelligence (AI) to support predictive analysis and policy recommendations.

Sulistyaningrum called for stronger collaboration among ministries and institutions to provide accurate data for analysis and to identify areas where services can be improved.

“We want to ensure that programs prepared by ministries and institutions are well-targeted and aligned with our plans. We already have the Holistic Integrative Early Childhood Development National Action Plan (RAN PAUD HI),” she said.

The government is currently finalizing the 2025–2029 RAN PAUD HI to further strengthen Indonesia’s early childhood development framework.
