Armed Forces spokesman Maj. Gen. Freddy Ardianzah said the task force would include engineering units skilled in infrastructure rebuilding, medical teams for physical and psychological care, and security forces to ensure the safety of the operation.
“The joint task force will likely consist of Army engineers for infrastructure repair, health units for field medical support, and psychological rehabilitation personnel,” Ardianzah told ANTARA in Jakarta.
He said Army engineering units will play a crucial role in restoring Gaza’s war-damaged infrastructure, while military medical teams will provide essential health services to civilians affected by the conflict.
Security personnel will also be deployed to safeguard operations and ensure that the peace mission proceeds smoothly, he added.
Despite the preparations, Ardianzah said the military is still awaiting an official order from the central government before deploying the peacekeeping forces.
“In principle, the TNI is ready to carry out any government directive professionally and proportionally, upholding Indonesia’s national interests and the principles of peace in accordance with national and international law,” he said.
