In his speech on the first day of the APEC Summit on October 31, he underscored that the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) must remain an inclusive, free, fair, and equal partnership.

“Inclusivity must be our guidance, and sustainability must always be the main compass for a secure global future. APEC must ensure that the benefits of trade and investment reach every member, leaving no economy behind,” he noted in a statement on Saturday.

At the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting (AELM), he reaffirmed Indonesia’s commitment to multilateralism and called on all APEC member economies to renew their commitment to open, inclusive, and fair economic cooperation.
