Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of Law and Human Rights Supratman Andi Agtas has reaffirmed his commitment to advancing the digitalization of public services and implementing merit-based human resource management as key measures to curb corruption, particularly within his ministry.

"Since I took office, I have underlined two main measures in corruption prevention: bureaucratic reform through digitalization and the promotion of meritocracy," he said during a podcast followed online from Jakarta on Monday.

Agtas noted that these efforts align with the Anti-Corruption Trident concept introduced by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), which emphasizes responsive, preventive, and educational approaches as a comprehensive framework against corrupt practices.

He expressed confidence that effective implementation of digitalization and meritocracy will strengthen officials’ awareness of the importance of integrity and public service.

Further elaborating, Agtas said digitalization has become an inevitable path toward good governance. He revealed that the Law Ministry is developing a super app to integrate all public services into a single, easily accessible platform.

"In short, we aim to enhance transparency as part of our efforts to prevent corruption and improve service systems," he said, adding that the super app is expected to launch by January 2026.

On the merit-based staffing system, Agtas reiterated the ministry’s commitment to ensuring objectivity and fairness in employee placements and promotions.

"These two measures are essential for fostering integrity and accountability," he emphasized.

Meanwhile, KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto highlighted that the commission has partnered with the Law Ministry as part of the government’s open approach to collaboration.

"Corruption prevention requires contributions from all parties, including the public and ministries," he said, adding that the partnership covers data sharing, capacity building, legal strengthening and synchronization, as well as extradition cooperation.

Budiyanto added that the cooperation reflects a shared commitment to improving preventive measures and reducing the number of corruption cases in Indonesia.
