Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs advised the public to create a healthy digital environment by having digital communicative competence.

Director General of Public Communication and Media at the ministry, Fifi Aleyda Yahya, in a statement here on Thursday said there are three pillars that must be strengthened in the digital realm.

“First, the ability to narrate, write, and deliver public messages that are relevant, ethical, and meaningful. Second, digital communicative competence, which involves managing messages, context, and consequences in open spaces," Yahya said.

Third, she added, relying on trusted sources that prioritize verification from primary sources (A1) to enhance information credibility.

To support these pillars, the Ministry introduced the portal Indonesia.go.id as a credible reference amidst the flood of information.

The portal website not only provides official government information but also delivers accurate, contextual government journalism.

Designed as a primary source for both the public and media, it also serves as a tool to curb the spread of disinformation.

“We present credible government journalism so that society can see Indonesia without the haze of misinformation,” Yahya said.

She emphasized that strengthening digital literacy is essential to fostering a responsible and healthy digital space, especially in the era of AI, which can generate convincing misinformation.

She urged the public to apply the “3S Rules”: Filter before Sharing, Be Courteous in Comments, and Be Aware of Your Digital Footprint.

“Your digital footprint is your portfolio. Make it a reflection of a conscious real life,” she added.

Meanwhile, content creator Hari Obbie encouraged young people to not just consume but produce positive content.

Consistently producing good content, he said, can shift algorithms toward healthier outcomes.

His remarks came during the Indonesia.go.id Goes to Campus: Your Story, Our Nation event in Surabaya, on Wednesday (November 19), attended by 300 on-site students and 300 online participants nationwide.
