Manpower Minister Yassierli here on Wednesday stated that the budget for the internship program in 2025 has been allocated for 100,000 participants covering Batches 1, 2, and 3.
He mentioned that the opening of the National Internship Program Batch 3 via the MagangHub platform is targeted to take place on December 15, 2025. Companies and government agencies are already able to submit their vacancies to the ministry.
Up to Batch 2, a total of nearly 80,000 graduates have participated in this program, comprising around 15,000 participants in Batch 1 and around 62,000 participants in Batch 2.
In the program, which targets university graduates, the government covers a stipend equivalent to the minimum wage for a six-month internship period.
He added that the enthusiasm from companies and government institutions for the program is quite high, with 4,669 companies and 47 ministries and agencies having participated, and more than 2,500 work units serving as internship locations.
"We invite companies that have not participated, including those whose vacant positions have not been filled in Batch 2, to reopen them in Batch 3," he remarked.
The program, which is one of the priorities of the Prabowo Subianto Administration, aims to bridge fresh graduates with the real needs of the business and industrial world, while simultaneously strengthening the readiness of Indonesia's young workforce to enter the job market.
Yassierli further explained that the distribution of internship participants is targeted to be equitable across various regions of Indonesia, not just concentrated in Jakarta and other major cities.
In this regard, he asked the prospective internship participants to consider opportunities in regions that have high human resource demand but low applicants.
