Jakarta (ANTARA) - Muslim World League Secretary General Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa met President Prabowo Subianto on Thursday during a visit to the Presidential Palace in Jakarta.

Sheikh Al-Issa arrived at 14:02 local time, smiling and waving to reporters but declining to comment on the purpose of his meeting with the president.

Earlier in the day, Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak also visited the palace. He said only that his appearance was connected to the Secretary General’s visit, offering no further details.

The Muslim World League leader has been in Indonesia since Wednesday, when he delivered a keynote address at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta.

In his speech, Al-Issa said morality and honesty remain essential principles for Muslims seeking to advance peace in a fractured world.

“The Islamic values taught by the Prophet are noble morals and honesty. This is a major asset for Muslims in promoting world peace,” he told the audience.

He added that the Prophet Muhammad’s teachings on integrity and ethical conduct form a critical foundation for presenting humanitarian values in diverse global communities.
