In addition, approximately US$5.5 billion is currently under negotiation for projects in the pipeline.
"Of the US$20 billion, US$3.1 billion has been mobilized under the JETP scheme, and another US$5.5 billion is under negotiation for concrete projects," Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said in a press conference on Friday.
He informed that several priority projects have been included in the JETP list, including those that are fully prepared as well as those still awaiting funding approval.
Hartarto then outlined several projects that will soon move forward under JETP funding, including the Saguling Floating Solar Power Plant, the Muara Laboh Geothermal Power Plant, the Legok Nangka Waste-to-Energy Plant, the transmission network in the Sulawesi corridor, the Wind Power Plant in South Sumatra, and the de-dieselization program.
JETP's funding commitment to Indonesia has increased from US$20 billion to US$21.4 billion, consisting of US$11 billion from the International Partners Group (IPG) and US$10 billion from the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ), he continued.
As part of efforts to accelerate clean energy development, the government has established the Energy Transition and Green Economy Task Force (Satgas TEH) to accelerate JETP implementation, including JETP 2.0, to utilize the available funding in meeting Indonesia's National Development Planning (NDC) targets.
The JETP is a funding commitment to support Indonesia's energy transition, agreed upon at the G20 Summit in Bali in November 2022, a form of collaboration between Indonesia and developed countries in the International Partners Group (IPG).
Following the US withdrawal, the IPG leadership is now held by Germany and Japan, with members consisting of Denmark, the UK, Italy, Canada, Norway, France, and the European Union.
Hartarto emphasized that the United States' exit would not substantially affect the progress of the partnership, as JETP financing is designed to be mutually beneficial and not dependent on one nation.
