“Pray that on December 18, 2025, we can complete the mass signing for 50,000 subsidized homes,” Sirait told reporters in Jakarta on Friday.
He said the mass contract signing will be held in Serang, Banten, adding that the event is expected to accelerate the delivery of government-backed homes.
Sirait stressed that subsidized homes must be fully built before being offered to buyers, ensuring that families can inspect the units directly rather than rely on plans or developer promises.
“Because these are subsidized homes, the houses must already exist. They are selected first and purchased afterward. Consumers should not be buying from drawings,” he said.

He added that the policy is designed to prevent fraud and protect low-income buyers, who are often vulnerable to misleading sales practices in the housing market.
“We want to protect our people so they don’t get deceived. That is why the subsidized houses must already be completed and ready to inspect,” Sirait said.
President Prabowo Subianto earlier praised Sirait for exceeding the government’s previous mass-contract target, increasing the planned total from 25,000 units to 26,000.
Prabowo said the achievement shows a shift toward more results-driven work among state officials and reflects a growing emphasis on efficiency across government institutions.
He said Sirait’s performance aligns with the administration’s broader goal of delivering measurable benefits to citizens, particularly those who struggle to access formal housing.
The president also underscored the importance of the housing sector not only for meeting low-income needs but also for supporting economic growth through construction and related industries.
The initiative is part of the government’s effort to expand subsidized housing to its highest level to date, increasing the annual allocation from 220,000 units to 350,000 units.
