He made the statement after President Prabowo Subianto concluded a two-day visit to Aceh and North Sumatra aimed at ensuring rapid assistance for residents affected by the disasters.
“Our stocks are sufficient. Food needs are being met. We are also continuing to ensure the availability of clothing and medicines,” Hadi said at Soewondo Air Force Base in Medan, North Sumatra, on Saturday.
He said that while some obstacles remain, most of the affected areas are now accessible.
According to Hadi, the government has assessed community needs, including the availability of food, clothing, medicines, and clean water, particularly in Aceh Tamiang District, one of the areas hardest hit by flooding.
He added that nearly all hospitals in the affected regions have resumed operations, although some are not yet functioning at full capacity.
On the same occasion, Hadi expressed appreciation to all parties involved in the disaster response, including the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the National Police (Polri), the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB), the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas), volunteers, and local communities.
“As the president has consistently emphasized, this reflects our togetherness, our sense of family, and our spirit of mutual cooperation. No one should be left behind,” he said.
Hadi also thanked local residents for welcoming President Prabowo during his visits to Aceh and North Sumatra.
Floods and landslides struck three provinces in Sumatra - Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra - in late November 2025 following heavy rainfall.
According to data from the BNPB, as of December 13, the death toll from the disasters had reached 1,006, with 217 people still reported missing.
