Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Cooperatives has established a command center that functions as a real-time data control hub for cooperatives, including for monitoring, evaluation, and categorization of cooperatives across Indonesia.

During the command center's inauguration event in Jakarta on Monday, Cooperatives Minister Ferry Juliantono said that previously available cooperative data was passive and relied on manual reports from existing cooperatives.

Moreover, the percentage of reports submitted by cooperatives was relatively low, resulting in incomplete data.

“With the presence of the command center, we hope to be able to carry out monitoring and evaluation of financial reports and cooperative profiles in greater detail, allowing us to take prompt corrective measures,” he said.

The minister explained that the command center will also serve as an early warning system for cooperatives in Indonesia.

This will enable the ministry to categorize cooperatives based on their condition, whether they are healthy or problematic and require special handling.

“That way, we can take preventive measures early so that cooperatives with the potential to become problematic can be addressed as soon as possible,” he remarked.

He further stated that the command center also integrates the Red and White Village Cooperative Information and Management System, which currently includes more than 80,000 legalized cooperatives.

The program has entered the operational phase, covering physical infrastructure development, training, and business model development.

Through the command center, village cooperative data will be synchronized with various parties, including ministries, agencies, and the Revolving Fund Management Institution (LPDB) for Cooperatives.

“The command center will also display real-time data on various cooperative development processes, starting from the construction of warehouses and outlets and their equipment, to the implementation of management training and cooperative business activities,” Juliantono said.
