“All schools are safe as we found no suspicious objects during our search,” said Adjunct Commissioner Made Budi, head of the public relations division of the Depok Police.
The targeted schools included SMA Arrahman, SMA Al Mawaddah, SMA 4 Depok, SMA PGRI 1, SMA Bintara Depok, SMA Budi Bakti, SMA Cakra Buana, SMA 7 Sawangan, SMA Nurrurahman, and SMA 6 Depok.
The sweeping operation was carried out by the Police Mobile Corps’ Gegana anti-terror unit together with local officers.
Following the all-clear, police continued their investigation to identify the sender of the threats. Budi said on Wednesday that the emails were sent by a person using the name Kamila Hamdi and the address *kluthfiahamdi@gmail.com*.
Authorities are still determining whether the account holder deliberately issued the threats or if the account was compromised.
An email screenshot reviewed by state news agency ANTARA showed the sender identifying themselves by citing their former school and university and declaring, “I am fully responsible for what I am doing.”
The email also included a home address, which police confirmed exists, though further investigation is needed to verify whether the suspect resides there.
Police said the investigation is ongoing to ensure accountability and prevent similar incidents in the future.
