Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia’s 2025 National Online Shopping Day (Harbolnas) program, held December 10–16, recorded transactions worth Rp36.4 trillion (US$2.1 billion), surpassing the government’s target of Rp33–34 trillion.

Trade Minister Budi Santoso said the figure marked a 17 percent increase from 2024, when transactions reached Rp31.2 trillion.

“Harbolnas has proven that a shopping festival can serve as strategic momentum and as a stimulus to boost public purchasing power toward the end of the year,” Santoso said in a statement on Monday.

More than 1,300 businesses participated in this year’s event, including merchants, online retailers, and marketplace service providers.

Local products accounted for 45.6 percent of total sales, equivalent to Rp16.6 trillion, up 3 percent or Rp500 billion from last year.

The most popular local product categories were fashion and sportswear, personal care, and food and beverages.

Santoso said the results reflect a growing public preference for domestic goods on digital platforms.

The government will continue encouraging micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to leverage online shopping festivals.

Santoso expressed hope Harbolnas will remain a driver of fourth‑quarter economic growth.

The program also aligns with the Every Purchase is Cheap (EPIC) Sale and the Belanja di Indonesia Aja (Just Shop in Indonesia/BINA) Great Sale, which together aim to generate up to Rp110 trillion (US$6.5 billion) in transactions in 2025.
