In a social media post cited in Jakarta, he said the president reassured the public of the government’s commitment to IKN development through his first visit to the city as head of state from Monday to Tuesday.
“I accompanied Mr. President on his working visit to Nusantara, an official agenda that underscores the government’s commitment to continuing the city’s development as a national strategic project,” he noted.
Hadimuljono, who previously served as public works and public housing minister, underlined President Prabowo’s genuine concern for human resource development as the foundation of the future seat of government.
He said this was reflected in the president’s decision to directly inspect the construction site of a new campus of Taruna Nusantara High School, nationally recognized for its quality education and notable alumni serving at state institutions.
“During the visit, the president reviewed the Taruna Nusantara High School complex, underscoring the government’s commitment to improving education and nurturing young talents with strong character,” he said.
The OIKN chief added that the president also visited the Nusantara State Palace to ensure that the facilities and infrastructure required for effective governance are being prepared.
He stressed that IKN’s development is not limited to physical construction, as the government is equally focused on building a system to ensure good governance in the future capital.
Hadimuljono added that Prabowo’s first presidential visit served as a concrete followup to Presidential Regulation No. 79 of 2025, which sets a target of designating Nusantara as the capital for political affairs by 2028.
“I would like to thank Mr. President for his continuous support,” he said, reiterating his readiness to carry out Prabowo’s instructions for development.
