Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, speaking at London Stansted Airport on Wednesday, Jan. 21, said the president will present several economic concepts he has developed both before and during his presidency.
"He will deliver the economic concepts he has developed and implemented before becoming president, and since becoming president until now," Wijaya explained.
In his presentation, Prabowo will also outline his government’s achievements during his first year in office.
"And that's what he calls 'Prabowonomics'," Wijaya explained.
He noted that the WEF will be attended by more than 65 heads of state and 1,000 global business leaders.
Prabowo is expected to hold bilateral meetings with several world leaders during the event. "Of course there will be meetings; we will confirm the details once we arrive," Wijaya added.
This year's forum marks the first participation by an Indonesian president in a decade; the last to attend was Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, who delivered a speech on the green economy, in 2011.
Prabowo will be joined by Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani and Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.
The forum will involve world leaders, businesspeople, academics, and civil society representatives, under the theme "A Spirit of Dialogue."
The WEF is organized by a non-governmental organization and think tank based in Cologny, near Geneva.
Other leaders scheduled to deliver special addresses at this year’s forum include French President Emmanuel Macron, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres.
They will be joined by U.S. President Donald J. Trump, Argentine President Javier Milei and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, underscoring the forum’s role as a key platform for high-level global diplomacy and economic coordination.
