“Our participation is directed toward building strategic partnerships with global stakeholders, selectively mobilizing capital, and promoting quality investments that deliver tangible impacts on the national economy,” Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani said.
In a statement received in Jakarta on Monday, he noted that Danantara’s inaugural participation in the WEF, held from January 19 to 23, reflects Indonesia’s commitment to strengthening global cooperation through top-quality governance and investment.
“Our objective here is to promote Indonesia’s ongoing efforts to harmonize policies, strategic investments, and the business community,” he added.
Also serving as Minister of Investment and Downstreaming, Roeslani emphasized that Danantara aims to leverage the multilateral forum as a platform to share Indonesia’s perspective on the economy as a developing market facing challenges from climate change and demographic dynamics.
“In this context, Danantara positions itself not only as an investor but also as a strategic actor and long-term partner in initiatives aimed at fostering economic and social resilience,” he stated.
He further highlighted that Danantara’s investment plans are aligned with national needs and the global agenda, with a focus on strengthening the critical mineral industry, advancing energy transition, bolstering food and health security, and promoting digitalization.
To that end, he continued, Danantara seeks to convene a series of strategic meetings with state leaders, investors, and global financial institutions.
“Danantara’s participation is also aimed at reinforcing Indonesia’s position as a credible, farsighted investment partner that actively contributes to efforts to foster sustainable economic growth globally,” Roeslani concluded.
The agency is part of the Indonesian delegation accompanying President Prabowo Subianto at the 2026 WEF, where he is scheduled to deliver a keynote speech on Thursday (Jan. 22). In its 56th annual meeting, the forum is expected to bring together over 1,000 participants, including 61 heads of state and government.
