"The Aceh government has submitted the R3P document to the central government through BNPB on February 3, 2026," the spokesperson of the Aceh Provincial Government, Muhammad MTA, said in Banda Aceh on Sunday.
He explained that the funding is divided among several authorities: Rp41.8 trillion for ministries and agencies, Rp22 trillion for Aceh Province, Rp60.43 trillion for districts and cities, and Rp29 trillion for the private sector and local communities.
According to him, the R3P document compiles comprehensive data on damage, losses, and recovery plans submitted by all levels of government, ranging from ministries to provincial and district administrations.
He added that a team from the National Development Planning Ministry (Bappenas) has already visited Aceh to coordinate with the provincial government and ensure alignment of the R3P document.
Following its submission, BNPB has begun verifying the administrative documents, which will be followed by on-the-ground verification based on the proposed recovery plans.
“After the field verification is completed, BNPB will forward the results to Bappenas to prepare the post-disaster rehabilitation and reconstruction program,” he said.
The spokesperson emphasized that recovery efforts are still ongoing and are being carried out by the central, provincial, and local governments.
Aceh was among three provinces on Sumatra Island—alongside North Sumatra and West Sumatra—hit by floods and landslides in late November 2025.
According to BNPB records, as of February 8, the disasters claimed 1,204 lives, with 562 of the fatalities recorded in Aceh.
