The meeting, broadcast by the Indonesian Government Communication Agency via the official presidential social media accounts early Tuesday, focused on the future direction and prospects of Indonesia’s business sector.
According to official sources, President Prabowo encouraged the business leaders to work together in creating jobs in industries ranging from textiles, garments, footwear, and furniture to food and beverage production.
During the audience, the entrepreneurs expressed full support for President Prabowo’s vision, including government programs aimed at eradicating poverty, providing adequate nutrition for children, and ensuring quality education for future generations.
The business representatives also backed the President’s policies and initiatives to strengthen Indonesia’s industrialization, emphasizing the significant benefits such measures could bring to the nation.
Several officials also accompanied President Prabowo in the meeting, including State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi and Head of the Government Communication Agency Angga Raka Prabowo.
Apindo was represented by several members and executives, including Chairwoman Shinta Widjaja Kamdani and Advisory Council Chairman Sofjan Wanadi, the founder and owner of Santini Group.
Previously, Apindo said it stresses the importance of policies that are pro-stability to create business certainty, pro-growth to open opportunities and encourage business expansion, and pro-poor to ensure that the benefits of growth are felt inclusively across all layers of society.
The National Workforce Survey (Sakernas) in November 2025, released by Statistics Indonesia (BPS), recorded Indonesia’s total workforce at 155.27 million people. Of this total, 147.91 million were employed, while 7.35 million remained unemployed.
The number of unemployed decreased by around 109 thousand compared to August 2025, in line with an increase of 1.37 million in the number of employed individuals during the same period.
