In this project, the irrigation system implemented uses an innovative approach in the form of a modular irrigation method developed by the Ministry of Public Works through the Irrigation Engineering Center, Directorate General of Water Resources. This method prioritizes the use of standardized modular components so that they can be applied flexibly to various dimensions and designs of irrigation channels.
In line with the project requirements, WSBP supplied 15,000 Lining spans and 10,000 modular components, which were produced and shipped from the Precast Plant WSBP Bojonegara. All products are designed in accordance with established technical standards to support dimensional accuracy, quality consistency, and construction efficiency in the field. To date, all Lining products have been successfully delivered to the project site, while the supply of modular components has reached 60% progress and is targeted to be fully completed by the end of February 2026.
“The use of precast concrete in this project allows the construction process to run more effectively, both in terms of construction time and the quality of the construction results. In addition, the precise and durable characteristics of precast concrete are expected to support the long-term sustainability of the irrigation network. We are committed to maintaining product quality and timely delivery in every project we undertake,” said Fandy Dewanto, Vice President of Corporate Secretary WSBP.
Apart from the Cibaliung Irrigation Project, various other irrigation projects have used WSBP precast concrete products, such as sloof and lining, including the Kamojing-Telar Barugbug Road Project in Karawang and the Salamdarma Irrigation Network Rehabilitation, Improvement, and Modernization Project in Subang.
The presence of quality irrigation infrastructure plays an important role in supporting agricultural activities, particularly in maintaining water availability for agricultural land in the South Banten region. With a more optimal irrigation system, this project is expected to contribute to increased agricultural productivity and Crop Index (IP) in the region, which in turn indirectly supports national food security.
Through its involvement in various water resource infrastructure projects, WSBP continues to fulfill its role as a provider of precast concrete products by prioritizing quality, precision, and the implementation of good corporate governance in supporting national infrastructure development.
