Major Iskandar was one of the three Indonesian peacekeeping officers killed while serving with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) last March.
"May this become his path of devotion that will grant him a place by Almighty God," General Subiyanto stated during the ceremony.
The late peacekeeper was laid to rest in a military funeral marked by a ceremonial procession and a formal volley salute.
Other officials who attended the ceremony included Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, West Java Police Chief Inspector General Rudi Setiawan, and Commander of Military Regional Command III/Siliwangi Major General Kosasih.
After the burial, the military commander and government officials joined the family of Major Iskandar to present their last respects to the late officer.
Major Iskandar, who was captain before his posthumous promotion, was one of the three officers killed in attacks on UNIFIL along with Chief Sergeant Muhammad Nur Ichwan and Second Corporal Farizal Rhomadhon.
President Prabowo paid his last respects to the fallen soldiers during a lying-in-state ceremony at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang on Saturday, before their coffins were transported to their hometowns for funerals.
As Major Iskandar was laid to rest in Bandung, Chief Sergeant Ichwan was buried in Magelang and Second Corporal Rhomadhon was buried in Kulon Progo.
Indonesia has strongly condemned the attacks on its peacekeepers and called for a thorough investigation through an extraordinary United Nations Security Council meeting.
